What would this bill do?

This bill would extend unemployment benefits for those who already have received 6 months of benefits, but otherwise still would be eligible.

Benefits would not be paid retroactively, but rather would resume from the time this bill takes effect. It allows for an additional 5 months of benefits (for a maximum of 11 months total).
