Lobby99 supports a fair minimum wage
Evidence shows that increasing the minimum wage would directly benefit millions of this country's poorest workers.
Evidence also shows that potential negative effects, such loss of employment and higher prices, likely would be very small (if at all) compared to the number of people who would no longer live in poverty.
Additional evidence shows that federal benefits such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) would not be needed as much. freeing up public money for other uses such as education, health care, and infrastructure improvements.
In light of this evidence, Lobby99 recommends that Congress pass the Raise the Wage Act.
