We gotta ask...
DID YOU JUST LEARN SOMETHING?
Is it worth a dollar?
News in FiVe is free to read, but it takes time and money to publish.
If you find what we do valuable, please help us continue with a small donation.
Even a dollar or three every so often makes a difference.
It's secure and takes only about a minute.
Thanks!
This policy change would hurt most people, while companies benefit
Increasing the threshold for whether companies are required to provide health care for their employees would help...
It would hurt...
Our analysis is based on the current system
Lobby99 does not have a position on whether employers should be required to pay for their employees' health care insurance. However, changing from that model would require substantial coordinated changes to our health care and labor systems (for example, Universal Health Care combined with wage protections to make up for costs that companies no longer would be responsible for).
Until that happens, we need to find the policy within our existing structure that best supports the overwhelming majority of Americans.
